CHRISTOPHER OR PATRICIA PARR – ENGLAND – YOUR COUSIN IN AUSTRALIA IS DESPERATE TO MEET YOU

Emma & Ted Parr circa 1961 Patricia Lynda & Christopher Stephney Way 1915On the left is where the Kite Family of six was taken on 23rd January 1919.

It is Barnado’s Homes in Stepney Way. The building is no longer there.

Emma was not taken that morning. She was too old. She was near 18 years of age and married to Ted Parr. Her sisters went to Canada and her brother went to Australia.

I am William’s daughter. I have looked for Dad’s sisters all my life and in 1999 with the help of a friend we found all five sister’s descendants. The missing piece is Emma’s descendants. The photo on the left was sent to my dad in 1961. I am around the same age as Linda (the little girl). Dad never answered the letter. All of Dad’s sister’s though he had acquired great wealth. He hadn’t. He was a gambler and an alcoholic. I have come to understand his journey and would like to tell the world how the abandonment of thousands of children through immigration schemes for nearly a hundred years didn’t stop with just the ‘Home Children’ themselves. It affected their offsping and for generations to follow.
